The most engagement I’ve had on a Rozzy project. Students had so much to share about their experiences with the dentist and what they can/cannot tolerate as far as acidity. They were shock that lemonade was so bad.
Tip: +Limit how many acidic solutions you make available, students tend to only want to test the sugar drinks and will not see a broad pH range if they do not choose alkaline solutions. I had 7 different liquids options (coke, lemonade, kool-aid, ice tea, milk, coffee, vinegar, baking-soda water, plain water). After one class I told my next classes that they had to find a neutral (water), alkaline (vinegar or baking solution), and an acid (sugar drinks).
